Non-cost Skill Drain
I think the answer should be a YES without a doubt,
unless you are using a Normal Monster deck.
You can make life easy by having all effect monster that activates their effect in the graveyard.
Your monster's effect will never be negated by Skill Drain.
But how to make your face up monster not to be influenced by Skill Drain?
the answer is....
Demon's Chain.
Yes, it is true that this card practicality is low because it can only target one monster.
The possiblity of putting this card into deck is much lower than Skill Drain,
but what if this card is reusable?
Although it can only target 1 monster,
don't you want to have a Skill Drain that only harm your enemy?
So what is the support card for this card?
Giant Trunade?
HELL NO, reusing it for once are not considered as REUSABLE.
There are two possible option,
and both option give you great advantage while returning this card to hand.
Cosmic Fortress Gol'gar
Returning S/T trigger Cosmic Fortress Gol'gar that add A-counter on the field, which means it giving you a chance to destroy their monster or S/T.
Isn't it great to be able to stop their monster's effect, and destroy them by returning the card you used to stop them moment ago?
Darkness Necrophere
I personally think that DN is better option because it have immunity to battle destruction, which means you can attack opponent light monster without worrying battle destruction. What is the point for not attacking your opponent after the turn you stop their monster's effect with Demon's Chain.
Demon's Chain provide a chance for you to stop their monster effect so that you can counter them during your turn.

Lava Golem vs Boss Creature
Wanna remove your opponent Stardust/buster but hate to face the fact that it is able to special summon Stardust?
Wanna get rid of E-hero Shining but do not want t to give them some hand advantage?
Unable to declare an attack with your high attack monster due to their monster's attributes - LIGHT?
Worry no more because we can remove it from field easily without losing much advantages. I introduce to you, the burning beasts: Lava Golem & Volcanic Queen.
I personally prefer Lava Golem over Volcanic Queen because your enemy won't be able to use its effect against you and it remove two of your opponent so easily.
Unable to normal summon for a turn ain't a big problem because there are so many available special summon method. The backdraw of this card is, you will need to fight its 3000 attack after summoning it. But it is still better than fighting against Stardust/buster or JD that have same attack point, or light monsters that enable your enemy to face you HONESTLY.
At least your enemy will help you remove it from field when they can no longer afford the 1000 damage.
P/S: This card can help you stop Sun Dragon Inti and Moonlight Dragon Quilla cycle just by tributing their dragons, stop the violent by stopping destruction. PEACE..

Fact about Power Pickaxe
This card may seem to be a good counter against current format that heavily rely on graveyards.
It is true that it is able to slow down the game a bit, since u may be removing some important cards from opponent’s grave.
However, let’s face the fact that this card practicality is low because your enemy will definitely able to retrieve the removed from play cards easily if it work pretty well in grave.
Do you expect your enemy to build a Vayu Turbo or Zombie Synchro without burial from different dimension?
Comparison between similar cards
Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer:
Soul Release:
It takes 5 turns for you to remove from play the same amount of cards that Soul Release able to remove from play in one turn. I definitely not expecting the monster equipped with this card to stay on the field more than 3 turns. The 500 point of attack boosting can be ignored.
Dissapear
Although it can only remove from play 1 card from the grave, it creates better advantage than an equip card that can only be activated during your main phase and not to mention, once per turn. The advantage this card has over Power Pickaxe is, it is CHAINABLE. Many people use cards that remove S/T one by one to prevent the Emergency Teleported Stardust - Starlight Road.

Parellel World Fusion
Are you excited when you know Konami is publishing new E-hero support card?
Let's look at the effect:
Return your removed from play monsters that are listed as Fusion Material Monsters of an "Elemental Hero" Fusion Monster to the Deck and Special Summon that monster from your Extra Deck. (This is treated as a Fusion Summon). You cannot Special Summon other monsters this turn.
How many deck can actually use this card?
You can convince me by telling me that E-hero deck have cards that remove from play their own monster, Miracle Fusion. But it still doesn't change the fact that this card can be your dead draw in game. It is easier to send your monster into graveyard than remove it from play.
I would say this card is creating advantage for D.D Eatos and similar deck, but this is probably not the solution for E-hero to face the overwhelming synchro.
